Leading aluminium foil tray manufacturer, i2r Packaging Solutions has been awarded Company of the Year by tradex news, in recognition of its innovative packaging and ground breaking customer service.

Established in 2007 by three experienced directors, Peter Reay, Jon West and Richard Chaplin, i2r (standing for innovation to reality) provides both smooth and wrinkle wall aluminium foil trays to the food industry both in the UK and across continental Europe.

CEO Peter Reay has more than 25 years industry experience and brings an unrivalled reputation to i2r. He is known within the industry for his credibility, personal integrity and his proactive hard working approach. Prior to establishing i2r he was CEO of the European market leader in the manufacture of flexible aluminium food packaging products

Richard Chaplin, CFO has 18 years experience as an ACA. He has a proven track record within the industry and a wealth of both operational and financial experience across a range of businesses. With an even temperament and common sense Richard is able to develop a business strategy and follow it. Richard is a member of The Faculty of Finance and Management and the Corporate Finance Faculty.

Commercial Director, Jon West has significantly developed the sales of i2r through product innovation and market analysis. With 20 years of experience within the packaging industry to i2r and his role is crucial to the growth and development of the brand. Jon is a mechanical engineering graduate and is a member of the institute of Packaging, Minerals and Mining.

i2r, based in Telford, is minutes from the heart of the UK’s motorway system. The state of the art production facility is where the company manufactures its smooth wall aluminium foil trays, while its sister company, Contital produces the wrinkle wall aluminium foil trays from its base in Italy.

With a wide range of leading customer’s in the UK food industry, i2r’s products can be seen in all of the major retailers with a real point of difference in terms of design and quality.
